“Right!” Wu Heng nodded and followed her into the office.

“Steward, during our training, we found these three, claiming to be association members from outside,” Yuli reported immediately upon entering.

Steward Slyther was seated, working on documents, and a Cheetah lay by the fireplace.

The Cheetah walked over, circled him sniffing, then went back to lie on the floor.

Slyther lifted his head to survey them and asked, “Where are you from? What’s your business?”

“From Gold and Silver Island,” Wu Heng replied.

“Yes, I went back to deal with some matters,” Wu Heng replied, taking a seat.

The Cheetah came over, jumped onto the couch, and leaned against him.

“How long do you plan to stay?” Slyther asked.

Wu Heng petted the Cheetah and responded, “Just overnight, I’ll be leaving in the morning. I mainly came to check on you all.”

“That quick, huh!” Yuli remarked.

Slyther added, “You must have spent all your time over in Lundham City!”

To the questions from the two women, Wu Heng answered with a smile, “You might not know yet, but I am now the Island Master of Gold and Silver Island. I can’t be away for too long.”

Both of them furrowed their brows.

“Island Master? What’s that?” Yuli asked.

“Just like a City Lord manages a city, an Island Master manages the entire island,” Wu Heng explained.

“A promotion by the association?” Slyther inquired.

Wu Heng explained, “It’s an appointment by the association, but separate from it; they don’t interfere with the normal development of the island. My position in the association is as a Flag-bearer.”
