This meant they were a terrifying force to contend with.

“Abort the mission, turn around, get out,” ordered the commander once more.

The vehicles started instantly, reversing towards the rear.

As the convoy turned for a direct departure,
the zombies behind the buildings boiled over like an eruption, with ear-piercing roars resounding in the air.

“Pick up the pace, withdraw!”

Ratatat~!

The dense sound of running footsteps began.

Down the side alleys, a large number of zombies started to pour out.

They swarmed the road, black and dense like a flood breaking through.

Bang bang bang~!

Gunfire and cannon fire rang out again; bullets rained down like a storm, striking zombie bodies and splattering black bloodstains.

“The horde isn’t following, head back to base first, report the situation to the high command.”

The armored vehicles sped up again, heading toward the base.

Behind them, a figure, large as a beetle’s shell, descended from the sky, watching the convoy from a distance.

“They are both level 12 professionals, one human, one dwarf, transferred from outside. I’m not clear on the specifics; we’ll see soon enough!” Xi Ligui replied.

The man looked at Wu Heng, his eyes revealing some surprise.

Perhaps he hadn’t expected the Island Master and Flag-bearer to be such a young human.

“Tevse City–Skeeter, at your service, Island Master,” the middle-aged man gave another slight bow.

“Welcome to Gold and Silver Island,” Wu Heng smiled and nodded.

“Thank you, Island Master.”

Then, the door was knocked on again.

Another figure, a dwarf in scale armor with a Battle Axe hanging at his waist, walked in.
