Chapter 30: Block Meng Yan

Gu Xiang did not go to sleep. After taking a shower, she switched on her laptop and chatted with Bai Wei about work.

Meng Yan sent her a message all of a sudden. “Sis, are you asleep?”

Gu Xiang replied, “What’s up?”

Meng Yan said, “Why did you make Mom angry? She didn’t eat anything tonight. Sis, Mom is so nice, how can you make her angry?”

Gu Xiang was stunned for a long time before she remembered that her mother had called during the day to ask her for help.

Gu Xiang said, “What does her anger have to do with me? How did I make her angry.”

“Mom said so.” Meng Yan said in a righteous tone. “Sis, I know you are married now, but don’t forget, if not for my dad and mom, do you think you would have what you have today?”

Gu Xiang looked at the text sent by Meng Yan and she almost laughed from the anger. “Great! In that case I won’t get married! You can come and do it! She wore an oversized shirt with track shoes and she walked out with her phone in hand. She was about to go for a run and then head to the store but she realized that Jiang Chi had not left yet. He was having breakfast.

He still looked picky as usual. “This is a little too salty.”

The helper looked apologetic. “I’m sorry, I’ll take note.”

He was a very picky person. When he ate, he could not even stand it if there was even a little too much salt. Everything had to be perfect.

When the helper saw Gu Xiang come out, she greeted her. “Good morning, Madam.”

Jiang Chi looked up at her. Although she was in an oversized t-shirt, her slim figure could still be discerned.

Gu Xiang said, “Morning.”

Then, her phone rang.

It was a call from her mother in an interrogatory tone. “Gu Xiang, did you block Meng Yan?”
