“Shizuku-sama, where do you think you are going?”

An extravagant room. Filled with high-quality furniture made out of gold. Even though I’m staying in such a room, I still couldn’t help but feel bored. I stood up from my seat and was planning to roam around as I headed towards the door and just when I was about to leave. The bespectacled person, whom I was having tea with and has blue hair and dark green eyes followed me from behind.

… …To be honest, I’m not good at dealing with this person.

At first he was weirdly kind and gentle and was someone who always says good things to the point that it was annoying. But just a few days ago he stopped with the pleasantries.

However, I’m actually thankful for that and I’m not really troubled by it or rather it’s better that he stopped doing that. I don’t really know the reason but just around a week ago he started showing his face around me again.

“… …Just at the back garden.”

The truth is I don’t really have any destination, I just thought that for the meantime I’ll roam around the hallway. But if I do that, a lot of people will surround me and come along with me and by the time we arrive there, it would be the same place as always. 

Even though they said that demon beasts appeared, I was indeed surprised by the appearance of the huge birds that I saw back then and nothing really happened after we evacuated. That’s why, nothing much has changed with my daily routine, just looking around the garden to pass-by time. 

Still going to the garden as I absentmindedly look at the blooming flowers is better compared to staying inside my room. Then all of a sudden a hazy thing suddenly came near me and upon taking a closer look, it turns out to have a brown body and is around the size of a basketball… …

“… …A chicken?”

Right. The thing in front of me is a chicken. A brown winged chicken, cackling around as it walks around. 

“Why on earth is it in a place like this… …”

Ever since I started staying in the palace, I haven’t seen a chicken roaming around like this inside the palace. I was so surprised that I couldn’t help but leaked my thoughts then the bespectacled person behind me, with a happy expression answered me. 

​”I heard it’s called a freange chicken” (Thruster said it wrongly. it’s not an auto-correct. it was supposed to be ‘chi’ but he said ‘ji’_ 

“… …Freange chicken?”

Could it be it’s a ‘free range chicken’… 

But there’s no way something like that should exist in this world. 

Because this isn’t Japan.

It’s not the World that I know.

“Eh… …Shi..zuka-sama… Shizuka-sama, are you aware of the woman that was summoned along with you?”

“I know. But I was told that she’s staying in a different place so I can’t meet her.” 

“This was something that was made by that woman”

“… …that woman did?”

“Yes. That woman is already able to use her skill. It seems like just a few days before she’s been staying here.”

“… …That can’t be. Then, all this time she’s been staying here?”

I didn’t know.

Because they told me I can’t meet her.

That’s what I was told.

“Where… …where is she?”

I asked as I turned around and look straight into the eyes of the spectacled person in front of me and then slowly softly smiled.

“Currently she’s staying at the Northern Knight’s Order”
