Susan received the lilies from Nick and walked to the bed. When she handed them to Felicia, her tone carried sarcasm. “Miss Queen, remember to be careful the next time you cross the road. Thankfully, you only hurt your leg this time. Otherwise, it will be too late for regrets.”
The lilies were stuffed into Felicia’s arms and her eyelids jumped twice.
Why didn’t this sound anything good at all?
