To Accompany Gege (3)

When he got home, it was still Lu Nan who seemed calmer and more natural. He stared at Lin Yuhe after applying a whole set of ointment, and then stopped after confirming the status of the injuries.

When checking the ulcer, Lin Yuhe once thought that the other party was going to kiss, but they didn’t. Lu Nan just carefully applied the medicine for him, and finally pinched his chin and kissed his forehead.

After applying the medicine, Lu Nan urged Lin Yuhe to go to sleep, saying that he hadn’t rested yet.

When Lin Yuhe was lying on the bed, he was still in a daze.

Obviously, the phone keeps ringing email reminders, and the person who was so busy at work that he had no time to get off work was Gege, but the other party always feels that Lin Yuhe needed to rest more.

This night he still did not sleep soundly, and at dawn, Lin Yuhe woke up earlier than the alarm clock.

In the morning, he was sent to the hospital by car as usual, but in the afternoon, Lin Yuhe left early.

When he came out, he was about to send a message to Lu Nan, saying that he would go back early today, so he didn’t need to trouble the other party to come over.

As a result, as soon as he walked out of the building, he saw the familiar tall man.

There was still more than an hour before the scheduled off-duty time, and Lu Nan was already waiting downstairs.

The weather was bad, and the wind was cold. The man stood beside the car. He had broad shoulders, narrow waist, tall and long legs. Just standing there, doing nothing, was enough to become a landscape.

It’s just that the scenery was so cold that no one dared to look directly at it.

The man’s back was always straight, cold and serious, even though he was waiting for an unknown end at this moment, he did not slack.

Lu Nan wore a pair of black leather gloves, wrapped around his slender fingers, revealing the sharp lines of his wrist bones, and paired with a long windbreaker and thick-soled short boots, he looked even more imposing.

And between his fingers, although he didn’t hold the matching whip, he held a cigarette.

When the man held the smoke and looked up, Lin Yuhe lost his breath.

Lin Yuhe used to be praised for his good looks, but he never felt it. It wasn’t until this moment that he suddenly understood what it means to be ‘deceived by beauty’.

However, Lu Nan’s first reaction when he saw him was to frown, and directly took the cigarette between his lips.

Only then did Lin Yuhe realized that the smoke was intact and had not been lit.

Lu Nan waved at him, gesturing for him to get in the car, but he took a few steps back and walked aside.

Lin Yuhe walked to the side of the car and saw Lu Nan walked to the trash can and threw away the unlit cigarette.

The co-pilot’s door opened, and Fang Musen walked out of the car. “Director Lu…”

Still holding the document in his hand, he was surprised when he saw Lin Yuhe. “Master Lin,  you’re off work?”

Lin Yuhe nodded.

Fang Musen didn’t see Lu Nan, and asked, “Where is Director Lu?”

Lin Yuhe pointed to the trash bin. “He went to throw things.”

Fang Musen put away the documents first, and waited for Lu Nan to come over to read them.

Although the boss came to wait for someone, but their assistants still had to do their jobs.

They had to work outdoors.

Lin Yuhe had never seen Lu Nan smoking before, so he couldn’t help being curious, he asked Fang Musen, “Does Gege smoke?”

Fang Musen’s answer surprised him. “Smoke, for some years, he smoked when I was with Director Lu.”

But Lin Yuhe had never smelled smoke from Lu Nan. He was about to ask, when Fang Musen said, “However, Director Lu has quit now, and he hasn’t touched it for more than half a year.”

Half a year was a long time.

Because of asthma, Lin Yuhe knows the most about the medical knowledge of respiratory medicine and had seen many cases. He knew that there were not many people who can quit smoking successfully.

But this was a good thing, he asked, “Is it for health?”

Fang Musen said, “No. It’s because he heard that asthma patients have sensitive airways and shouldn’t smell smoke.”

Lin Yuhe was stunned.

Before he had time to think about the meaning of this sentence, Lu Nan walked over after throwing away the garbage.

“Why are you still standing outside?” Lu Nan frowned, not getting too close, “Get in the car, it’s cold outside.”

Lin Yuhe regained his senses and went to the back seat.

He got into the car, but Lu Nan didn’t. Lin Yuhe saw the man take off his gloves, took a bag from Fang Musen, took out a new windbreaker, and changed his coat. Afterwards, Lu Nan sprayed the spray on his wrists and neckline a few times and rinsed his mouth with the portable granule-packed mouthwash.

After completing a series of tedious actions, Lu Nan opened the car door and sat up.

But after noticing Lin Yuhe’s gaze, Lu Nan paused and asked, “Is there a smell of smoke?”

Before Lin Yuhe could react, Lu Nan reached out to push the door and get off the car. “You go home first, I’ll walk back.”

Lin Yuhe hurriedly pulled him back. “No need, it’s odorless!”

Lu Nan looked back at him.

Lin Yuhe reassured him, “Really, it’s not, let’s go home together.”

Perhaps hearing his firm tone, or hearing the phrase ‘go home together’, Lu Nan finally stopped insisting.

The car started and drove towards Fengqi Bay.

Just as Lin Yuhe took back his hand, he heard Lu Nan ask, “Do you leave work early?”

Lin Yuhe rubbed the tip of his nose and said, “There is only one procedure to cancel the apprenticeship in the afternoon, so I left early.”

Lu Nan made a move.

“Cancel the apprenticeship?”

Lin Yuhe let out a ‘huh’, looked at his hands, and said, “I went to my mentor and said that I want to be with my family during the winter vacation, so I canceled the internship.”

Lu Nan’s Adam’s apple moved slightly.

He had some thoughts in his mind, but it was hard to confirm. After a moment of silence, he still asked.

“It’s your father and they want to come over?”

Lin Yuhe shook his head. “They won’t come.”

He pursed his lips, looking a little nervous, but said the words frankly.

“I told my mentor that I would stay with my Gege.”
