Chapter 51 – 53 Tie Gaoming
Qin Hao said with a smile, “How could that be possible, Jiangshan Roasted Duck is made using a secret recipe that blends eighty-one types of herbs.”

Liu Bo, who was driving, heard this and curled his lips dismissively, thinking that only a fool would believe in those eighty-one herbs.

The police car soon arrived at the city police station.

Liu Bo and Feng Xue reported upstairs briefly, then took him into an interrogation room.

They asked him to wait a moment and then left.

Qin Hao frowned slightly, having a bad feeling about this. Logically, if it was just to assist with an investigation, they shouldn’t have taken him to an interrogation room.

An interrogation room is a place for questioning suspects or prisoners.

About fifteen minutes later, a middle-aged man with a square face walked in. His expression was blank as he took the principal seat.

Feng Xue and Liu Bo sat beside him, their faces equally serious, pens in hand ready to take notes.

Mr. Tie found it hard to associate this eighteen-nineteen-year-old boy with the Hao from Yonghe Street.

But his investigations confirmed that Qin Hao was indeed the Hao from Yonghe Street, a student who had just finished a unified examination.

Perhaps it related to his poor academic performance, Mr. Tie thought to himself.

Qin Hao’s academic records from the educational system were completely accessible to him.

This boy was a thorough bad student, or more accurately, a bad student with some capabilities, as Mr. Tie defined him.

“His leg was broken by Li Bao at your command, wasn’t it?” Mr. Tie’s eyes flashed as he stared at him intensely.

Qin Hao’s expression became serious, “Captain Tie can investigate this matter. Wang Kun broke his leg because he was drunk and fell.”

Mr. Tie said, “You still dare to argue? The injuries on Wang Kun’s leg weren’t caused by a fall; the experts confirmed they were caused by being smashed.”

“Then I don’t know about that,” Qin Hao answered calmly.

Mr. Tie hadn’t expected Qin Hao to remain unresponsive and calm, like a seasoned old hand familiar with such situations.

His tone suddenly softened, “Qin Hao, you are still a student, and this matter isn’t beyond rectification.

Just admit it, and at most you will pay some compensation, but if you refuse to admit it, once the police find evidence,

it won’t be just about paying compensation anymore. You could even face imprisonment. You’re only nineteen, you surely don’t want to spend your time in there.”

Qin Hao’s expression unchanged, he said with a wry smile, “Mr. Tie, you know I’m a student, how could I possibly have someone break another’s legs? I trust that you will clear my name.”

After speaking, he walked out of the interrogation room. Feng Xue and Liu Bo glanced at him, then followed him out.

In the interrogation room, only Qin Hao remained.

He let out a long sigh, his back already covered in cold sweat.

If he had misspoken just now, he might very well have been arrested.

Breaking someone’s leg had already constituted intentional injury. If the evidence were conclusive or if the culprit confessed, he would be imprisoned for at least a year.

Qin Hao looked at him with a smile, “Captain Tie, things should be clear after the investigation, right?”

Tie Gaoming looked at him, a trace of resentment flashing in his eyes; he believed Qin Hao was definitely not clean.

But without evidence and with people vouching for him,

seeing Qin Hao’s smile seemed like mockery to him.

It made him feel a surge of anger, with nowhere to vent it.

Remembering the oath he had taken under the national flag, his face grew hot.

Tie Gaoming slammed his fist on the table, the dull sound startling both Feng Xue and Qin Hao.
