Donald Smile.

Though he’s usually playing Solo, his Job is as a Wizard. However, he threw away his wand, and all of his magical Skills are support spells that strengthen him. He is a heretical melee-type fighter whose stats are centered around Strength.

This time, Donald has been strengthened by Kon’s summoned beast and he has gained significant DPS. He looks like a track and field club member as he rushes toward Crystal Leo.

“Gon’ support y’all myself, too,” Kon said. “Backup Cheerleader go after Donald, yeah?”

“Got it!” Backup Cheerleader says before she launches off and chases Donald.

Then, Kon uses a Skill on Backup Cheerleader.

“If I activate Sacrifice Escape… it’ll work out, somehow,” Kon said.

The Summoner-exclusive Skill, Sacrifice Escape, grants the summoned beast the Target Focus buff, making it a decoy that attracts enemy attacks away from the others.

“Zekka-chan, Remma-cha-aaan, I’m here to help you~!☆” Donald said.

Zecca and Remma are surprised when Donald Smile dashes in, his muscles seemingly swollen and bulging. However, there was a limit to the time the two of them could buy. So, they’re relieved to see the appearance of their main DPS.

“GARRUGAAAA!” Crystal Leo roars.

Absolute Zero activates, but Backup Cheerleader is frozen in ice in Donald’s place.

“Hunnu☆!” Donald hums.

Then, he shatters the last floating crystal between him and his opponent with a single blow.

“GARRUGAAAA!” Crystal Leo roars again.

It activates its Skill, Diamond Dust Burst, against Donald as it closes the distance between. A spiral of shard-like icicles attacks Donald.

“My… isn’t this a bit tasteless!?” Donald yells.

He realizes that evasion is impossible due to the speed of the attack.

“… It’s alright…” Remma said. “Luminous Eternal!!”

Remma’s strongest defensive Skill activates. This protects Donald from all damage and Abnormal Statuses.

“Oh, it’s already all good…” Donald said. “Well then, let’s go on with the finale.☆”

All the floating crystals protecting Crystal Leo disappeared. All Donald had to do was jump on his opponent’s back and punch it until it died.

“GARRUGAAAA!”

Cold air gathers around Crystal Leo, and ice crystals are formed. And they gradually change shape…

“Wait a minute, wait a minute, you didn’t hear me~!?” Donald whined.

Monsters made of ice appeared around the enemy. They look just like Crystal Leo, at about half the size. But, there are 3 of them.

“… It still has Skills,” Remma said.

“This looks bad, huh…?” Zecca said.

The mini Crystal Leos attack Zecca, Remma, and Donald.

“Mmm~ I can’t afford to be damaged, you know~,” Donald muttered as he dodges the miniatures’ attacks.

Due to the cost of his all-out-offense Skill, Fighting Spirit: Zero, Donald would die instantly if he received even 1 point of damage.

Of course, on the flip side, Donald could already defeat the miniature Crystal Leos in front of him. But he won’t do that for the sake of the party. What if there is a counterattack? His mistake will result in the others’ defeat. He couldn’t make a rash decision.

(So this is playing with a party, huh…? Fufu… quite exciting, isn’t this?☆)

While Donald is taking evasive action, Zecca defeats one of the ice clones. Then, she takes on the miniature attacking Lemma.

“… Position Change!!” Remma cried.

Freed from enemy assault thanks to Zecca, Remma switches positions with Donald. As a result, Remma took on the ice clone attacking Donald.

“Donald-san… please go!” Remma said.

“Nice!” Donald cried. “I’m going!☆”

Donald runs again. Next to it, a fairy with butterfly wings runs by his side. It’s Kon’s Pulelehua. As a result, even if an enemy attacks, it is now possible to protect Donald with Dance Of The Immortal Butterfly.

“Nice, Kon-chan. I feel like I’ve become a fairy~!☆” an exhilarated Donald said as he jumps up.

“GARRUGAAAAAAA!”

However, Crystal Leo was not watching silently. It attacks with Absolute Zero.

“It’s useless!” Donald said. “Muda-muda-muda-mudaa!☆”

A butterfly illusion envelops Donald, protecting him from an enemy attack. And then, Donald’s fists finally hit Crystal Leo’s head.

“Donald☆Magic!”

“Garrugaaaaaaa.”

He shatters the enemy’s ice-like armor. Donald mounts his opponent’s back and rips off its wings as his Strength allows him to. Then, he launches a series of punches into the back of his opponent’s head.

“Ga… garr… garu,” Crystal Leo grunted.

It endured the assault for a short time but it could not stand against Donald’s DPS and disappeared into particles of light.

“… Cleared!” Remma said.

“Hooray, we did it, Remma-chan,” Zecca said.

“Fuh…” Kon said. “That was an unexpectedly tough enemy, y’all.”

“But, with the power of our bond, we were able to win safely,☆” Donald said.

The four were generally happy before they checked the item drops, but it seems nothing special dropped. After all, it seems that you can’t get anything unless you cleared it for the first time and went solo.

“I wonder if Johann-chan was able to clear it?” Donald said.

“I don’t know if she had…but, she’ll be the one to do it!” Zecca said.

“…She seemed confident, though,” Remma said.

“If it’s Maou-han as she is now, she can do it,” Kon said.

While worrying about Johann, the four safely set foot on the Third Layer.
