In the next moment, the Tarot card began to disintegrate on its own, breaking down. It dissolved into black salt and yellow smoke that wafted out and was directly absorbed by Christina’s body–as a “resurrected corpse”, she was the best vessel for such specters.

After a long while, Christina slowly opened her eyes.

There was no fear in those eyes, but instead, there was affinity and gratitude.
