Chapter 59: Return to the Island

Luke: “YESSSSSー!! We’re backー!!”

It’s been over 3 months since departing from the island.

It was now springtime, and the sea was much calmer. I was chatting with the sailors about how much easier the journey was this time around.

Luke: “Now then, we need to hurry up and rebuild the buildings.”

Sia: “Lots～”

Eri: “He he he. I’m looking forward to it～”

And Princess Aires really did come all the way over here in the end…..

Can a Princess really endure living on an island……?

There’s no castle, and there’s certainly no mansion. There’s an inn with holes all over the floorboards and a mountain of rubble.

Gonzo: [Lou Quain, we will be living in the foot of those mountains then.]

Gonta: [It’s ours～]

Luke: “Gonzo, at the foot of the mountain? There’s nothing there, so will you be okay? There’s no caves either.”

Gonzo: [We can build what we lack.]

Huh? Build?

Wait, does he plan on blasting a hole in the side of the mountain?!

Luke: ‘But the mountain has a Dungeon inside. If you open up a holeーー”

Wouldn’t Monsters flood out of the newly revived Dungeon…..? Oh wait, I guess Dungeon Monsters don’t come out of Dungeons in the first place.

But wouldn’t there be some sort of issue? Gonzo: [Do not worry. I am not digging a hole. I am building a cave.]

Luke: “BーBuild……? WーWell, if you’re not making a hole, I’ll leave it to you.”

If I could build a building with a roof over their heads, I would, but no matter how I look at it, they’re way too big.

It would take a building the size of a school gymnasium, and maybe even twice the roof. If it’s that big, Gonzo and his kid could live in it but…….yeah, no. That’s impossible.

And besides, we’re not the only ones who rode and came on the ship.

“So, Sir Lou Quain. Could you guide us to the town?” Luke: “Yes, this way.” “So the roads looks like they’re fairly well-maintained. How about the buildings?” Luke: “Wellー…….I not certain how many buildings we’ll be able to reuse.”

“I seeー Well～ then we have a lot of work ahead.”

We brought the bare minimum number of people to build an Adventurer’s Guild.

There are about a dozen carpenters and construction workers to repair and construct new buildings and their families.

“Hey, Guild Master. Can we go ahead and start exploring the Dungeon?” “I don’t care if you do, but we won’t be able to assess or purchase any goods you carry out from it. That’ll have to wait till the Adventurer’s Guild building is completed.”

And Adventurers are here too.

Originally, they were supposed to be the hired guards for the craftsmen…….

“So when will that be?” “Depends. We’ll have to inspect the building’s condition first. Besides, at this point, I don’t even know if you guys will have a place to sleep.”

“What…….? Is that true, Governor?” Governor……huh……

And I returned back to my Noble status once again.

And this time, I’m a true Noble.

My newly acquired title and name is Baron Lou Quain Tristan.

Tristan is the original name of this island, and the King gave me that name.

“Since you wanted to live on that island, I’ll appoint you as Governor” (smile)

He kind of determined it on a whim.

Is it really okay for the King to make decisions frivolously like that? Well……….I am excited about how we’re going to develop the island.

“Governor, heyー”

Sia: “Uーk, Uーk”

Luke: “Oh, sorry. I was deep in thought.” “Well, yeah, I bet you have a lot on your mind with everything you’ll have to do. It’s been a deserted island for 80 years, right?” Well, I wasn’t frozen in anxiety and running away from reality. I’m actually looking forward to all the hard work ahead.

“Oh, it’s Sir Luke. Welcome backー”

As we walked down the well-maintained forest path, I see people from the town ahead.

There were the sailors and the Tronstad Kingdom’s Knights.

Luke: “Heyー! Thanks for looking after the placeー!”

Sia: “Yeaー!”

And Sia and I ran off.

Eri: “PーPlease wait for me, Sir Luke!”

Princess Aires hurriedly chased after us.

We waited for her to catch up, and both Sia and I grabbed her hand, and we all ran together.

Luke: “Princess, now that you’re here on this island, please do not expect your life to be carefree and without responsibilities.”

Sia: “You’ll workー with Siaー”

Eri: “Yes, there’s so much to do. Firstly, we shouldーー”

Luke: “We should?” And I replied back to Princess Aires, but it was someone else who answered instead.

Boris: [Un, pehー!]

Eri: “Ack! BーBoris, what’s gotten into you?!”

Sia: “Boris says he’s hungry～”

Boris: [Unpeh]

Gina: [Peh～]

Sia: “Gina says me too～”

Luke: “Let’s start with some food!”
