Chapter 48: Sun and the Beach

“Oh…” Shen Mochen dragged out the last syllable as he sized her up funnily. “I don’t see that happening.”

Peach glared at him somewhat sadly and rebutted, “I’m still storing up energy. You’ll be able to see it soon!”

“Okay.” Shen Mochen’s lips turned up in a smile and said, “I’m looking forward to it.”

“Eh?” Seeing his gentle smile, Peach was slightly stunned. Was last night not a dream?

Peach rubbed her eyes hard again, only to find that Shen Mochen was back to his usual calm self. Could she have seen wrongly?

Did she not?

Peach’s brain could not take that much, and Shen Mochen was rapidly turning her brain into mush.

Yalong Bay is a crescent-shaped bay at the southernmost part of Hainan. The climate was pleasant and the scenery was as pretty as a picture, with its jewel-like blue sky, warm bright sun, humid fresh air, rolling hills, rocks in various shapes, primitive peaceful mangrove trees, calm waves, crystal sea water, soft white sand, and colourful underwater landscape.

Along the coastline, the coconut trees were swaying and there were many exotic flowers and pristine tropical vegetation growing on the coast.

Peach was very much looking forward to today’s itinerary, as she could finally wear her swimsuit and go for a swim in the sea.

When they arrived at the beach with shallow waters, Peach could hardly wait and impatiently pulled her mother and godmother with her to change into their swimsuits.

On the other hand, the three men looked at each other and shook their heads speechlessly before nonchalantly changing into their swimming trunks.

Women are troublesome indeed!

After changing into her swimsuit, Peach stepped barefoot on the beach. She could feel the soft sensation under her feet. The waves in the shallow water gently lapped on the shore and went around her fair ankles before ebbing away.

The sea water made the soles of her feet itch and she giggled in delight.

Putting on their sunglasses, Peach’s mother and He Yue found a beach umbrella and comfortably lay on the sun loungers to bask in the sun.

Shen Mochen sat next at the side. Watching Peach running happily around the beach, the corner of Shen Mochen’s mouth involuntarily turned up into a gentle smile.

She really looked like a child. Even the pink bathing suit she chose was printed with bears, with a layered pleated skirt hem. At that moment, her two thin, straight legs were running continually, leaving her footprints in a row on the beach. The next moment, the waves that lapped on the shore washed them away, leaving no trace of her footprints.

Sigh… Shen Mochen, Shen Mochen, you actually kissed this little child yesterday.

Shen Mochen’s expression grew a little glum. Remembering the kiss that made his heart race last night and looking at the little girl with the small body that had not yet developed, who was laughing thoughtlessly in front of him, Shen Mochen let out a long sigh.

“Husband, Husband, why are you sitting here? Let’s go into the sea to play.” Peach ran to him panting, her large clear eyes sparkling brightly. As she smiled, the corners of her eyes were curved like crescent moons. Opening and closing her rosy little mouth, she flashed her white teeth.

Peach reached out to drag Shen Mochen along but did not manage to. Instead, her force rebounded and she ended landing directly on him.

Shen Mochen looked helplessly at Peach lying on top of his body. Her little face was flushed, and her big eyes were staring at him without blinking.

“Are you not going to get up? Or do you intend to crush me?”
