There was another problem faced by the safety base.

One of the managers spoke. 

“The safety base has reached its maximum capacity. We can’t occupy newcomers anymore. Some of us even stayed in our offices to free up rooms but it’s not enough.”

“Furthermore, the people who came to the safety base all had gone through a rough journey. That’s why we never reject anyone’s entry.”

“Every day, more and more people enter our safety base. We’ve been training those without special abilities to do some basic work outside the base. There are no weaklings or lazy people here. Currently, there are almost ten thousand people residing in this base. It would be inappropriate if we refuse to take in a mere fifty more people.”

The managers’ inability to manage the base filled Fang Lin’s heart with anger! 

“Yet, more and more people begin to disobey us. Most of them are capable people. I’ll be honest, we really do not have enough food. So, if you can’t endure it, you’re more than welcome to leave.”

Everyone listened silently. 

Then, someone asked, “How can we solve the food problem?”

“You’ll have to listen and follow our orders. We try to accommodate everybody but that doesn’t mean you can cause trouble. If you bully or injure others, a warning will be given. The next time you do it again, you’ll be immediately killed.”

Immediately killed.

Some people were angered by those words. They turned around to leave.

Others hesitated and said worriedly, “We don’t have any problems with the safety base’s rules but, what are we going to eat?”

“That’s right. We’ll only have the energy to go on missions if we’re fed.”

After hearing that, the manager’s imposing manner disappeared in an instant. He tried to think of something suitable to say.

Li Ran interfered, “This is a problem that we will have to solve collectively. We can’t expect the managers to handle everything for us. It’s not their fault.”

“Yea, we should have worked together instead of killing each other. Those with special abilities are really cold-blooded and heartless!”

The people without special abilities began blaming the other party for their poor moral standards!

Li Ran waved her hand. She was signaling them to be quiet. 

“Anyway, all of you have five minutes to consider if you want to stay in this base or not. If you stay, that means you agree to follow the rules here.”

Some people began leaving. Most of them had special abilities. 

About one-third of the people left.

The rest of them decided to stay.

Seeing that the situation was finally in control, Fang Lin said casually, “If you’re going to leave, do it quickly. I’m sure you’ll be able to protect yourselves outside with your powers.”

“You’re just trying to chase us away so you can hog all the food all to yourselves! I’m going to take them with me before I leave. After all, it’s all our hard work. Why should we leave it for you?”

The manager immediately replied, “If you can find any food, then take them. I’ve already mentioned our situation to you earlier.”

Upon hearing that, a large group of people began to search the base. 

However, they really could not find anything. 

After some time, they gave up and left.

In the end, the number of people in the base was halved.
